Celebrating 🍾 our Octogenarian

Our beloved Grandma (and Great Grandma) celebrated being 88. Yes, she is 2 years from being a Nonagenarian.
The typical expectation would be to throw a lavish party of glitz and glam, but we know better now. It isnt about the amount of money spent but the memory created, and value of the time, and how that time would add meaning to her well-being.  We asked the celebrant what she wanted, and we embellished on it.

Her bestie, a fellow Octogenarian came to spend the weekend with her. They hadn't seen in close to a decade. They were 2 school girls catching up on things - the giggles and laughing was pure joy.

They had to get a mani & pedi. Let the Octogenarians have their girlie time.

Her grand daughter was the cake stylist. You know lots of love ❤️ was infused in it!

Sharing the moment with family and loved 😍 ones, and the exuberance of the celebrant was worth it.

We cannot forget the most important part - the Ghanaian cuisine. The restaurant was specific for being Ghanaian, its flavor and liberal portions, and price point. Guests had the privilege of ordering takeaway portions. One thing we all could say was we were stuffed up!

We celebrate our near Nonagenarian, and we are grateful to everyone who showed up to celebrate her life with us. Thank you so much!
